South Korean electronics major Samsung unveiled Galaxy S5, its flagship Android phone, in India. Priced between Rs. 51,000- Rs. 53,000, it will be available in the market from April 11."This smartphone is targeted at the working professionals with a hectic lifestyle and also at style-crazy people," Vineet Taneja, country head, IT and mobile division of Samsung India, told reporters on the sidelines of the launch.
He said the actual price of the phone will be announced April 11. The pre-booking for the product will start from March 29.
Talking about the price range of the phone, Taneja said the company will help customers finance it through affordable EMIs or buyback offers.
The company now has 3.5 crore users of Galaxy devices in India.
He said the phone is now 3G compatible but "when proper 4G network will be available in the country, we will be ready with the devices (4G compatible)."
